From the Director's Desk

By Rev. Bonnie Parsons

I was glad when they said to me, let us go into the house of the Lord! (Ps. 122)

It has been an exciting time in our family of churches. Even though the pandemic has indelibly marked our world, the light that shines in the dark can not be extinguished! (John 1:5) It’s been a busy time with Examining Councils for Ordination Candidates, along with Ordination Services, as God’s call on the hearts and lives of his people prepares our

communities and our cities for the work and service he calls us to.

Prayer clusters took a break in the summer, reflecting much needed and deserved vacation

times. For that we are grateful, though it revealed the need for pulpit supply and musical

support. Online services enabled us to continue a sense of communal worship, even when we couldn’t “be” together. The road ahead offers us the challenge to use technology wisely. We came up with this survey to get a better snapshot of who we are, and what we have to offer one another.
